I have Wl-500g through which I route all of my traffic. I used to use DDWRT but switched to Oleg's firmware today. I have a netgear DG834G, which is connected to my ADSL line and my ASUS WL500g. The WL500g is then connected to all network devices. I can't access anything on the internet when I connect automatically or use DHCP from inside the network.

Netgear DG834G - 192.168.1.100

Asus WL500g - 192.168.1.1

All other devices.

If I set a machine on the nwtrok to use DHCP, or manually configure an IP and use 192.168.1.1 as the gateway, I get no connectivity. It only works when I manually set 192.168.1.100 as the gateway. I've set the gateway in the WL500g DHCP settings to 192.168.1.1 (The Netgear). I also ping anything from the router. That includes LAN hosts and external hosts. I'm using 208.67.222.222 (OpenDNS) and 192.168.1.1 as my DNS servers.

Any idea why this isn't working, it worked on DDWRT.

Thanks for any help.

you have to set 192.168.1.100 as gateway in the wl500g dhcp settings.

Thanks for your help. I eventually got it working by connecting the netgear to the WAN port and using the ASUS in AP mode.
