Printing on HPLJ 1000 with WL-500g

Did anybody succeed in printing on a HP Laserjet 1000 via a WL-500g ??
I think I tried about every option described in any document and on this forum without any result.

I've loaded the latest firmware: 1.9.2.7
The printer is recognized by the system (I can view the properties and the printer is shown in the webmanager) but when I print there's no reaction from the printer (only a very general errormessage).

Any suggestions (apart from new printer/router) are welcome.

another option may be to get a firmware with Samba

The reason why it isn't working is that due to the simplicity of the printer,
the driver ( The windows version ) has to upload the firmware everytime the printer is turned on. So your problem is only solvable when you are able to upload the firmware into the printer from the Asus Wl500G. I've been through
this problems before and finally got my LJ1000 to work on my debian server.

I've attached the firmware to this message so you should be able to give it a try.

Hello, I'm new to this forum.

I also want to use a Laserjet 1000 printer in combination with my WL-500g. Does anybody know how to connect the two devices?

I have no Linux knowledge.
