Internet is blocked when WL-500 is enabled

I have an ADSL connection via SITECOM DC 213 modem directly to LAN port of PC. It works fine, as long as the wireless network is disabled. When it is enabled, it is no longer possible to open new internet pages. And the reverse.

Ultimately, the modem should be connected to the WL-500. When I try this, no internet connection can be established.

How should the WL-500 be configured in this case? Should the modem be connected to WAN or LAN port of WL-500?

The modem takes care of username and password, provider characteristics, etc.

The best option is to let the modem act like a bridge and let the WL-500g handle the NAT and provider settings. You'll need to 'copy' the settings from your modem to the router and connect the modem to the WAN port in this case.

Another option is the let the modem be the router and use the WL-500g as an Access Point. The modem can be left untouched in this case and the WL-500g should be configured as AP. The modem should also be connected to the WAN port AFAIK (I have no experience with this).

The first suggestion wasn't possible as the WL500g doesn't support PPPoA as far as I know.

The second suggestion was a bull's eye. AP and WAN port.
