Hi,

I've made some scripts which I would like to start up from an USB memory stick. I've added a /usr/local/sbin/post-boot script and this script is executed during startup it seems.

When I do a mount within the post boot script, all filesystems are shown but the usb vfat filesystem:

Post boot script started...
/dev/root on / type squashfs (ro)
none on /dev type devfs (rw)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
ramfs on /tmp type ramfs (rw)
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)

So that's the problem.. Within the post-boot script I try to start a script on the usb stick, but this filesystem isn't mounted yet.. Is there another nice way for starting scripts on my usb drive?

Thanx, found it.. You had the same problem :)

They're mounting disks from the watchdog which runs once per second or so

Tjeee.. That's a REALLY stupid manner of mounting the USB drive.. I think the reason is to make it more act like a 'hot-plug' device... Still I would have done a manual mount at boot also to be sure..
