Bekijk de volledige versie : Problem getting ip address from dhcp
Hi,
I have big trouble connecting to my wl-500g premium from my dell d610 laptop running ubuntu.
Even if I have full signal strength I hardly ever can get an ip address.
The laptop is equipped with Intel wifi chipset and is running Ubuntu 7.10
Any advice ?
Thanks
Franco
hmm.. I've seen sutch things with vista laptops. I don't have any experience with Ubuntu..
The way to work it out via vista is to manual configure the wireless network.
Maybe you can do that too in Ubuntu;)
Or you must install some services and protocols for the network adapter:)

Yes I can manually configure the wireless network in Ubuntu, too.
I'll give it a try, thanks

It seems that the wl-500gp is very sensitive to interferences. I moved it to a new location and everything seems fine.
Thanks
