is it possible to stream video/music from my wl500gp?

Is it possible to connect an external HDD to my wl500gp, upload some files to the HDD and stream them on my computer - without having to install new firmware on the router?

I have no experience with Linux or installing new firmware on a router, so if it is possible, I'd rather just stick with the asus firmware.

It works fine, WL-500gP, Pinnacle SC200 and 2 PC's.
