Hi,

I have a wl-500g router and I am running Ubuntu Gutsy. I want to be able to play music from my laptop wirelessly to the wl-500g which is attached to my stereo via 3D USB audio adapter.

I have installed the latest Olegs firmware on the router. The problem I have now is how to install EsounD onto the router? I only have dial-up which I do not run through the router, so I an guessing that ipgk will not be able to download the EsounD file.

How do I go about loading EsounD into the router with the router only connected to my PC, not the internet? Can I download the EsounD binary and upload it to the router via a USB stick?

Do I still need to install ipgk?

Any help would be fantastic. I am new to all this, but am having fun all the same, even if I get a lost sometimes.

Cheers

I worked this one out.

Copied the esd binary to my usb stick and plugged it into router.

Accessed router with Putty and just copied it across from the usb stick to my /usr/local directory:

cp /tmp/harddisk/esd /usr/local/esd
