Bekijk de volledige versie : Apache, Mysql & PHP
Does the kfurge custom firmware have apache, mysql & PHP already installed and running in them? I need to install ampache (ampache.org) and am trying to figure if my wl-700ge satisfies the requirements for it.
Thanks.

No, no and no. Those packages together are *far* too bulky to fit comfortably on the 40M partition available for the firmware.
It's trivially easy enough to add them yourself, however.

when you say 40M partition.. and when you also say that I can install them easily.. does that mean that I need to resize any partition in the router HDD?
From the repository can you please tell me which ones I need to download specifically? I noticed there are more than one files with mysql and php in it..
Also.. what version or packaging of linux is in this router? Is it debian? (I know I'm a complete novice.. just learning quite a bit from you and your website).
Thanks.
i checked the repository
http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/oleg/cross/stable/
none of the files in there (for mysql and php) are really that big.. wonder why you mentioned so.. there is a php-mysql 5.2.5-1_mipsel.ipk in that repository.. which is merely 63K..
what am I missing here?

To fully customize the router's firmware, look here:
http://wl700g.homelinux.net/drupal/?q=node/187
Regarding repository packages, I'd guess:
apache_2.2.8-1_mipsel.ipk
mysql_4.1.20-3_mipsel.ipk
php_5.2.5-1_mipsel.ipk
php-apache_5.2.5-1_mipsel.ipk
php-mysql_5.2.5-1_mipsel.ipk
Just a guess, though.
Regarding the distribution, it's 100% Asus and nobody else!

Adding up php + apache + mysql = 7Meg compressed. The base distribution from Asus is about 20M compressed. Expending 7M of the 20M remaining (35%) on three packages that most people will not use is too much IMHO.
