I've had wl-500gp for a while and so far impressed with it's stability, however, there is one problem that I can't solve.I am using the official asus firmware 1.9.7.5 (still too chicken to start with olegs firmware, since I have a buffalo 500gb hd stuffed with videos and pictures which I dont want to loose, i.e the router may mess it up).

anyway, the hd is formatted with one partition ext2. When I try to upload files bigger than 4gb after mapping it in xp, I get "disk is full or write-protected", when the transfer reaches 4gb. This seems incredible strange since it is fat32 that has this limit (or was it 2gb?). Uploading via ftp is even worse, it stops after about 700mb or even crashes so I need to restart the router and hd.

Has anyone else had this problem with ext2, or know how to solve it? Thought the whole idea with using ext2 was avoiding the file size limit. I formatted it using partition magic 8.05
