Bekijk de volledige versie : Kamikaze problems :(
I installed Kamikaze 7.09 following the guide that back2basic and everything installed great. The router now seems so *clean*, but unfortunately I think I'll have to go back to Asus unless I can fix a few problems I found.
For some reason the wireless seems to be without power, even when I'm 2 feet from it the signal is very, very low, and also the wireless dies without a reason. I have to reboot the router to get wireless back. :(
Nobody has any answers or recommendations for me?
Anyone with openwrt on the wl700 has this problem? Is there anything special I have to do to boost the signal?? Some setting I missed? I don't want to go back to the Asus firmware... Please... :(
Ok, I'll test that I hope that's it. I was looking around and found this (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/other/display/asus-wl500g-premium_3.html). It's for the Asus WL500g premium but the case is very similar to the WL700ge.
We found a defect of manufacture when we removed the top part of the case. Even when we took the device out of its package, we heard some rattle inside it. It proved to be worse than industrial garbage as we first thought it to be. The photo shows that the cause of the noise was a wire that connects the antenna connector on the case with the connector on the router’s Wi-Fi card.
There’s no talking about establishing a good wireless connection here. When the antenna cable is detached, the level of the router’s signal was -90dB even in its immediate vicinity. We think it is a serious defect considering that you can’t solve the problem without getting inside the device and thus losing the warranty. The antenna may fall off during transportation, and we guess our case is not a rare exception.
Maybe that's my problem... I'm still under warranty so if the wlc radio 1 doesn not work I guess I'll have to contact Asus. :(
I've go the same problem on my wl700ge....
installed kamikaze 7.09 and the wireless signal strength dropped to near zero power.
Anyone have a clue what this could be?
still no solution for this????
