I need to start remote desktop from WAN. What is the right setting in Asus firewall for that?

Hello

First you need to know which port it needs - > google
Then assing it to forward to your local machines IP.
If you use DHCP on lan set static lease to your PC so it has same IP every time.
I dont remember Asus firmware but I am sure there is something like Port Forward.
For more details google or read Asus manual if youre using stock firmware.

Thanks calebz

Asus has quite special setting WAN to LAN filter which block all rquest from WAN per default. I do not want to completly disable it. I can assign exceptions by specifying source IP. The problem is that I cannot know this source IP from WAN because it can be whatever PC I has access to.

Yeah Asus firmware sux but I think it must be possible to forward a port with it.
Or maybe try DMZ.
