Hello everyone,
Recently I apply a ADSL line with a Fixed IP,
the ISP uses PPPoE connection (a username and password need for login),
but where should I hardcode my WAN IP adress in the PPPoE connection ?

ISP claims that they are not using PPTP connection.
Is there anyway to solve the problem?
Regards

Router: WL-500G

pppoe does not require ip address to be assinged. this address is only make sense if you want to access "internal" ISP lan, so if you do not need this - ignore this address.

as far as i know, my ISP needs me to hardcode the WAN ip address with username and password instead of just username and password alone.

Because they do not support any router configuration, they asked me to do the PPPoE connection in MS windows - the IP address is hardcoded in TCP/IP under Networking in PPPoE connection.

I cannot find the same method in WL500g, so i have no alternative but to ask here

Use custom 1.8.1.7-3 if you really need this, but this NOT necessary. Probably this is needed for windows, but it's not needed for linux.
