hi,
just started to configure nload on my 500gP

i don't seem to understad the following:

in both tutorials [How To] Install and Configure Olegs firmware and WL-500g Premium Howto Part One it is indicated the following command, and the red parameter is the one that bothers me (the rest depend on your connexion type)

nload -t 200 -s 7 -i 2048 -o 256 -u H eth1

I want to have statistics for the WAN link (my case is PPPoE connection). From my tests if seems that the correct listing should be the following

nload -t 200 -s 7 -i 2048 -o 256 -u H ppp0

am I right ? any feedback ?

2nd question

eth0 is for LAN1 port marked on router ?
...
eth3 is for LAN4 port marked on router ?

how can i determine which one is for wireless link ?

List the interfaces you have with ifconfig
Briefly:
eth0 == ethernet controller (6 ports). Think of it like if you have a separate switch where there are software defined 2 vlans:
vlan0 == 4 ports which belong to LAN
vlan1 == 1 port which is WAN
+ 1 internal port which is something like uplink used to connect these 5 ports to the CPU
eth1 == WLAN
br0 = eth1+ vlan0 (so, actually this is your full LAN)

thanks for the reply

im my case, when I use eth1
for incoming is shown my upload (i have some torrent files seeding)
for outgoing is shown my download (in this case almost zero)

if i use vlan1 instead everything is normal
upload shown at outgoing
download shown at incoming

*for me normal is from the router's point of view
outgoing traffic is traffic that "leave" the router
incoming traffic is traffic that "enters" the router

by WAN you understand wireless or uplink port to ISP provider ?

That's correct, because your upload from WLAN comes in through eth0, and after that it is forwarded to provider through vlan1 & ppp0. So again, think how the traffic comes into/out_of the router

So, if you want to separate wireless traffic you have to learn to understand it in reverse way :)

WLAN == wireless
WAN == provider

thanks for the help, finally managed to understand
