I use curl to resumably download large files via my Asus WL-500gP. Actually I've written a script for downloading from Apple Developer Connection, because that site always gives me a headache with all the timeouts. The script works fine, maybe because it's an https connection. I'm not sure.
But attempting to download a 122 megabyte file from a regular old http connection is causing me no end of problems. After several megabytes downloaded my Asus becomes completely unresponsive. The hard drive is working, but I cannot ssh in. The Asus provides an internet connection, but nothing short of unplugging it and rebooting will get it to respond. It does not even respond to a ping.
This behavior is completely repeatable. Every single time I try to download this file the router locks up. Also the file is never saved, so I cannot resume.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
