I have setup the port forwarding by Virtual server. However, I can only use alternate port 8000 for web server; the original port 80 is not working. I don't have any problem on ftp from outside and bit-torrent.

Of course I'm using port 8080 from office to access the Wl500GP receiving the following list.

Virtual Server List

Port Range Local IP Local Port Protocol Protocol No. Description
80 192.168.1.170 TCP HTTP Server (80)
20:21 192.168.1.170 TCP FTP Server (20:21)
6881:6890 192.168.1.170 BOTH Download Service
8000 192.168.1.170 TCP HTTP Server
5000 192.168.1.170 TCP DS107e Admin

Any comments are welcome.

At home, I can connect to the NAS through 5000 for the system console and 80 for the web server.

How did you do that?

Because I can't get it to work.

Just follow the instruction of 107e manual:
1. enable the webserver so that port 80 is activated
2. enable alternate webserver port so that port 8000 can be used.
3. within the LAN, you may simply select the IP of the NAS (in my case: I selecet 192.168.1.170 as NAS IP)
