Hi folks,
I tried to setup a DHCP-spoof for my speedtouch 510 modem/router so that my WL500g could function as router. When I set up the spoof, by using a DHCP spoof template, everything functioned perfectly when the Speedtouch was directly connected to the pc. As soon as i put the WL500g in between, trouble started. From the web interface of the WL500g I could see that it got the external IP and subnet correctly, and the pc got an IP lease from the DHCP server from the WL500g as well. Everything seemed to work correct, apart from the fact that internet wasn't working. Has anyone got an idea what went wrong here and how it would be possible to overtake this problem? One alternative that I hear about was setting the ip of the WL500g as a Virtual Server in the Speedtouch. The big disadvantage of this possibility is that the Speedtouch still has to route all traffic to the WL500g and this is exactly why I want the routing to be done by the WL500g: The speedtouch has big problems routing many connections, for example torrent or p2p traffic. A bridge would not be possible because the modem connects through PPPoa, and according to me the WL500g is not able to dial in via this protocol?
Specs:
Speedtouch firmware: 4.2.7.16.0
WL500g firmware: 1.9.5.0
