Hi all.

First of all i love my wl500g, and when I found about this place I almost fell of my chair celebrating.

Ok, so the first thing I did was to download Olegs newest firmware (1.8.1.7-2a) and upload it to the router. My original firmware was 1.8.1.9. That went fine, all my settings remained and everything worked fine.

Next step was to telnet to the router and have a little looksie. After reading the wiki-pages i figured the next step was to move to flashfs. I didn't quite grasp the concept completely but the basic actions looked simple enough.

Only problem was that I couldn't find the /init/ catalogue.
"ls /" returns:
bin etc linuxrc proc tmp var
dev lib mnt sbin usr www
And at /usr/local/ i can only find root.

I feel like a bit of an idiot here, but I guess I have missed some crucial information or something. Hopefully someone can help me out.

In the end i would like use wondershaper to make sure my Voip calls get through, and maybe set up samba. If I get the hang of it I might even want to setup some sort of networkmonitoring or syslog..

Thanx for everything
Barsju

The newer 1.8.x.x series firmware have a bit different directory structure compared to the older ones. The Wiki pages have been made in the 1.7.x.x era...

Checkout the links provided in the startpot of the CR2 firmware.
