change of USB stick to USB drive

Hi guys,

I have now managed to get my WL-500gP working for everything I want and installed with all the needful on my USB stick attached to the router. Now, I want to replace the USB stick to a real USB drive which has more space. How do I do that?

This is my experience upgrading from USB Pen to an HDD.
You have to create primary partition and swap partition if needed.
Then i simply created a tar with the entire filesystem on USB pen (/opt), and untar on the HDD.
No problems at all.
