hi, im new to this forum, and I only know how to operate this router from the web interface. my wan por dies too, and fixing the speed or changing firmware does not help me with this.
Since i only have this problem when i use BT and I read something about maximum number of concurrent connections the router has (1024), i was trying to change this number to see if it works.
can anyone tell me how to do this? i've never used telnet, but sure want to give it a try. if anyone can help me, i apreciate it

You see in the Log, if you reach the connection Limit, something like "table full".
You should have 1.8.x Firmware installed, then you can go to http://my.router/Advanced_BasicFirewall_Content.asp and fill in 4096 in the field "Number of connections to track". This does it. Also see the MoveOver help in the Website.

when i get the simptoms i talked about, i can't even access the router! only after i turn of the BT client.....
i have the 9.x.x.x firmware... i had the 1.8.1.9 and i dont remember seeing that option

I had that problem, too while running BT and 1.8.1.2a firmware.
Setting "Connections to track" to 3000 fixed it for me. At leats it didn't happen since then.

after this steps, i still lose WAN over night while downloading with BT. but when i wake up and turn off azureus, the WAN is back! the light on the router is always on, though. is this the famous "WAN die" problem?

yes please try firmware 1.8.2.4 beta for testing if it helps you with the WAN DIE problem
Another recommendation besides the beta firmware (that I will try today) is this:
TURN OFF UPnP in the router and forward the Azureus port (TCP/UDP) manually. Make sure that you turn off UPnP in Azureus also. This helped a lot to me in the WAN die issue, this and fixing my WAN speed to 100full (using a crossover cable).
