Can someone explain to me which network interface is which on my WL500gP?
The following are returned on issuing ifconfig:
lo: localhost/loopback.
br0: shows the router's internal IP...
eth0: shows only IPv6 IP (which happens to be the same as IPv6 of br0; also MAC address is the same as previous one)
eth1: the same applies here (except the traffic (RX/TX) is 0)
vlan0: the same applies here (about no IP, IPv6, MAC)
vlan1: shows the external IP. MAC and IPv6 the same again...
I'm basically wondering which interface is the WAN port of my router, which one is LAN1, LAN2... and AIR? The confusing part is that almost all of the interfaces mentioned above have the same MAC address, as well as the same IPv6 address (except that eth1 is the only one with zero traffic listed).
Also, WallWatcher shows br0 as "LAN" and "eth0" as WAN interfaces (but this might be wrong, though, since it's an auto setting).
