Need advice about FWs!

Hi all...

I tried lots of FS (asus 1.4.6/7.8/ 2.0.0.1/ openwrt 7.0.6-7.0.9) but didn't get what i need!!!

So, i need:
1. Internet with PPTP (MY ISP use it :( ) - asus FW ok, openwrt can't configure
2. Samba server - asus FW ok, openwrt ok
3. WIFI - asus ok, nice, ok
4. iTunes server with normal sub folder!!! - asus, as i understand i should put all my music(mp3) in one folder!?, openwrt - great! it's easy to configure mt-daapd!
5.torrents downloader - asus FW - it's awful!!!

What FW can u recommended for that with easy configuration?
openwrt great, but i kill about a month playing with it :( and it's unstable...

You really have to get your feet wet on the linux front, I am currently working on the ASUS wl-700 with KC custom firmware and I am really pleased. I am only new to Linux so it does take time and plenty of mistakes to get the system as you want.

and have a go. before you complete the flashing check out the forum for tips on "how to make a better system" it's Step 5 of the above link. It caused me about 4 days of work arounds to get it finally into a state of working correctly.


On 1,2,3 cannot help not my area of interest.

4. Itunes.
You can use Mt-daapd to host Itunes, haven't completed this as yet, currently working on torrent and media server, myself. anyway, there is plenty of information on this in the forum

You could try transmission which has been used on the 500 by Oleo.
