I just installed my brand new WL-HDD. MY setup is a router (with DHCP server and DSL modem inside, 2 copmputers connected to the router). I want to use the WL-HDD via WLAN connection to the router with the 2 other computers.

The WL-HDD is set up so far, when i connect it to the router by LAN everything works fine. With WLAN I can't get any connection. Key, mode and the rest is set up, but I cant get it to work. Firmware is 1.1.2.8.

Any ideas ????

turn wds off.. or explain better what you want to do
and set 54mbit to auto

That didn't help.

Setup:

- WLAN/DSL-Router connected to internet
- 2 computers connected to this router via LAN

WL-HDD:

- should be connected to router via WLAN
- should be accessible by both computers

What's wrong ??

follow that..
the images are not correct for 1.8.x.x or wl-hdd firmwares
but should guide you enough..

restore stuff to default

can you connect to SSID WL-HDD then? (meaning without any encryption set at your client)
if yes then there is a problem in your configuration somewhere

change stuff step by step then you will find the error

I dont want to connect to SSID WL-HDD - the WL-HDD must connect to my router (SSID Polizei).......

i see.. didn't read your post too carefully

i have no idea if that client mode is working, I don't run wl-hdd firmware anymore so i can't test it

please note your brand of your router etc..

wpa or wep encryption ?
with or without wds ?

in firmware 1.1.2.5 only WDS with WEP worked

I dont want to connect to SSID WL-HDD - the WL-HDD must connect to my router (SSID Polizei).......So why then list two MAC adresses in your remote bridge list? (And at the same time allow anonymous)

Sure your router setup is correct (AP/Gateway/Router?)

Any firewalls active on your router?

Read the manual carefully, you may have missed an obvious setting

I removed the macs and just left anonymous. Still doesn't work....

> Sure your router setup is correct (AP/Gateway/Router?)

Yes, i works fine with anything else, I also can connect with a laptop via WLAN and use LAN & internet........

> Any firewalls active on your router?

no

> Read the manual carefully, you may have missed an obvious setting

I did that. You have all the settings below, so what would that be....

he means the settings of your other router not the wl-hdd

the WL-HDD works when using WDS with WEP encryption (firmware 1.1.2.5), thus it is either incompatible with your router or your router does not meet 802.11g specs

also possible is that the wl-hdd does not meet 802.11g specs

by now I think I tried every possible combination.....I will return the wl-hdd........

by now I think I tried every possible combination.....I will return the wl-hdd........Perhaps a silly question, but are you sure your T-Sinus DSL supports the functionality you require?? Or can it only function in AP / Ad Hoc / Repeater mode?

Perhaps another odd suggestion, but are you sure the channel frequencies match?

Sure your router WEP configuration settings match that of the WL-HDD (Static?)

Repeater settings of your router?

Security settings of your router?
