Hi All,
Does anyone know what is the max. speed between the WL-700gE and PC that connect to it through LAN cable ? My max. speed from PC to the WL-700gE is around 33mbps, while max speed from WL-700gE is also around 33mbps. Is this normal?
My PC network card is a 100mbps card!
Thanks
For me either. I think thats a processor limmitation.

That figure does seem very High, as you probably know, with the 8 : 1 rule you shouldn't really be getting more than 12.6mbps based on 100Mbps card.

Sollie and Gizmo1007,
Thanks!

I'm assuming your 8:1 rule is converting Mbps (Mega bits per second) to MBps (Mega Bytes per second)? With a full-duplex 100baseT link, you should be able to sustain very close to 100Mbps throughput in both directions simultaneously.
I have noticed that the WL700gE is significantly slower than it should be (in the tens of Mbps) and I have thus far blamed the lack of performance on the 300MHz MIPS core that's responsible for shoveling the data through the NFS or Samba protocol stacks.

The above link explains the theory and practical speeds quiet well, I think other fractors on your performance will include whether your using Windoes Vista or Linux. Hope this helps
