SABnzbd does not unrar

Q.

I've been breaking my head for some time why my SABnzbd will not unrar the packages it downloads.

It downloads multiple nzb's perfectly, but does not unrar them.
Now.
When I first used it with 1 nzb at once it unrarred perfectly.
(I started out with 1 nzb at once 'cause I was a bit anxious to try multiple nzb's 'cause reading stories about crashing when doing multiple nzb's.)

Now when I started doing multiple nzb's it stopped unrar-ing the downloaded packages.
Thinking of SABnzbd will not unrar anymore when doing multiple nzb's I tried 1 nzb at a time, but now it will not unrar those either.

I've checked my SAB settings an it is configured to unrar.

When using the webinterface for uploading a nzb instead of using the watchfolder and tell SAB explicitly to unrar the files it will not unrar.

I've deinstalled and re-installed the unrar package thinking it was it, but to no avail.


Does anyone might have a clue why SAB stopped unrar-ing the files?

Well,

figured this out..
it's not SAB which does not unrar.
checked the log, but it gives the instruction to unrar.
however. unrar does not work,

also, when I try to unrar manually in telnet unrar does not work.

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'int'
Aborted

Tried to remove and re-install unrar, but to no avail.
error keeps popping up..

found something similar in this thread

however, I can't read russian and translating the text did not solve anything for me.

Anyone have a clue on how to repair unrar?

I've tried all 3 available unrar versions now, but none off them seem to work.

Is there anything other I can do?
Another package that does unrar?

and then with some 'symlink' so that the unrar command does actually unrar some things? I don't know if this is possible.
