Hi everybody, I updated my wl500gx a bit yesterday and want to flash the change to rom. Therefore, I've run "flashfs save", then "flashfs commit". I've found that the command (commit) didn't return for more than 2 minutes, and at the same time I disconnect the power accidentally.......The router then didn't response no matter how I tried. I've tried to press and hold the reset button, and found that the power LED blink, but I still couldn't ping it. There is no web console, no telnet..... I've tried to use tftp to upload the firmware also, but fail to connect to 192.168.1.1

I called the distributor for support this morning, but they said Asus no longer provide maintenance service for this router model, also warranty of the router has expired.

Is there any way to restore the router, or flash the rom directly? Thanks in advance

After hardware resetting, I've recovered the router!

Here is the procedures:
1. Unplug the power cord
2. Press and hold the "Reset" button
3. Power on the router and keep on holding the reset button
4. Wait for 30 seconds
5. The power LED blink then release the button

The router is then reset!!! :)

And use asus utility "Firmware Restoration" to flash router firmware.
When I flash Oleg fw version -7g, the router not responsing. After reset I can re-flash router fw with asus utility (last factory fw) . When the router working, I can flash Oleg -7f fw to router.
