just a thought:
Wouldn't it be nice to have an Asus WL-LiveCD, based on Knoppix.
i.e. a knopix based distribution that contains a pre-built Asus WL500g SDK Environment as well as scratchbox for developing applications...
I guess kanotix ( http://kanotix.com/info/index.php ) is a good starting point...
