please help getting hard drive to show up in vista

Hi,
I can't get new hard drive that i attached to wl500g to show up in "workgroup" in vista on my laptop. I have followed teh guide in the docs that came with router adn it works fine on my other computer that runs xp and is connected to the router by wire. So I don't know if it is a wireless problem or vista problem.
Any thoughts?
