    1.7.5.9-5 QoS too difficult for beginner

    QoS using customized firmware is too different for beginner of linux. i can't understand what the Oleg limited document or discussion in forum. actually, beginer needs a step by step example plus pictures to learn how to use the wondershaper for QoS in your customized firmware.

    like linksys wrt54g/gs, they have the Sveasoft Satori 4.0 firmware which can support bandwidth control using WebConfig. even that, it also supports the step by step document with pictures at http://members.cox.net/wrt54g/

    please some good technical guys help our beginners, write a step by step example using exist linux command interface or work together give a better interface like linksys wrt54g/gs using webConfig. let more people can use that, also let you manage that much quick at any operating system.

    Have you read this topic: http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=752&highlight=qos

    There is no webinterface for QoS available, also the commands and theories used by Wondershaper are complex.

    See:

    there are some difficulties with the webconfig to add new things that's the first reason why there is no update at it (looking at the wireless-client settings...)

    also I don't even get a shit of this QoS thing, but that's probably because I don't really need it:

    one thing that would be interresting for me is Loadbalancing my 2 internet lines

    so i suggest someone.. (you?) write a good tutor about this and a webconfig page will be made sometime when the difficultie with the webserver has been solved..

    @Antiloop:
    Read my last post in the Wondershaper discussion thread. QoS didn't work for met either until i changed the way its started.

    Loadbalancing is also a feature of the commands used by Wondershaper, as is round-robin and much more of those nifty loadbalancing tricks. Check lart.org

    Read this page: http://wiki.wl500g.info/index.php/PackageWondershaper

    The current version of the wshaper script on the WL500g provides QoS on service level. It does not shape the bandwith for each pc in the LAN. If you want this you have to change the wshaper script yourself. The www.lart.org website has the MAN pages for that.

    In this thread (http://wl500g.info/showthread.php?t=...hlight=wshaper) Ada is trying the same type of shaping you want.
