How to view video file in 700ge via streaming in PC

    Hi

I have downloaded some video files into the /shares/MYVOLUME1/MYSHARE1/Video directory. I am accessing it via VideoLAN directly through the shared drive but the video didnt played smoothly.

I see there is a Media streaming server built-in in 700ge Application page, and I have enabled it. Question is how do I get to access the video via the Media Server using XP machine? Does VideoLAN VLC player capable of accessing the stream? or what other players should I installed? Thanks

VideoLAN from a share is working fine for me

I also use VLC to watch DivX movies and start them from the share via the wireless network and they work without any problems.

If it does n't work for you, it might be that your router is too busy, or your network is flooded with other stuff. Try to connect via cables to the router to see if that makes any difference.
