Hi!

I would like to run Hellanzb (a usenet client) on my Asus Wl-500gp. It requires the tool par2cmdline, because it automatically checks the download. I downloaded the par2cmdline package, but when I try to run it I get:

par2: can't load library 'libstdc++.so.5'

I have the libstdc++.so.6 installed but no idea where i get the old version. I tried to make a symlink from libstdc++.so but then I get a different error:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_cast'
  what():  St8bad_cast
Aborted

When I create a symlink to libuClibc++.so the program doesn't give an error message but also doesn't run (just starts and ends withour message)

What am I missing? Do I need a updated par2cmdline or a different libstdc++? I am using the updated uclib, could there lie the problem?

I also couldn't get par2cmdline to work. My workaround is to run par2 in a debian-mipsel chroot.
