Hi

Sorry for my poor english, but I hope you will understand me !
I have a secondary home and I can monitor the main room with a webcam and a WL500g. It works fine, the only "poor" point is the rate of refresh : about one image per 6 seconds.
I want to add a rotor on the webcam in order to have many angles of view and for this to be able to send remote commands for the rotation of the rotor.
So I want to send "TTL" orders like start, stop, right, left.
Is it possible to use the outputs of the printer port for this ? and how ?
Many thanks for any suggestions.

It has:
* I/O pins to control the rotor
* a build in web server to remotely control the I/O pins or
* you can write your own software to control the I/O pins
* UTP connection to connect to a router
* also a wireless version of this device is available:

I was supprised about the price. I got three of those thingies.
Yes the refesh rate is from internet : DU meter indicates 130kbps (which is my maximal rate in upload). Locally i have near 2 mbps and more than one image per second.Originally Posted by Antiloop
thank you for your answer. I read the specifications of Logitech (they are not detailed!) and I did not find the possibility of a remote control it by Internet!Originally Posted by WlanMan
Thank you for the answer. I also want to obtain a minimum of consumption by using only the WL500g. I am persuaded that with software, via internet it is possible use the parallel port, but my knowledge is too weak to write it.Originally Posted by bramfm
In France, there is a similar product:

But there is no detail on the applications. I sent a mall at this firm, but it did not answer me yet.
