Thread: enable syslog in AP mode

    enable syslog in AP mode

    hi,

I try to enable syslog to a remote log server in AP mode, but it won't work.
    I performed the following steps:

    Code:
    nvram set 9_x_ServerLogEnable=192.168.1.1
    nvram set bootCmd0=/init/rc.syslog
    nvram commit
    and

    Code:
    /init/rc.syslog
but there is no syslog traffic on the network.

    My questions are now:
    - Did I make a mistake?
    - Are there any other nvram flags that I can set to get more log entries (especially wlan)?
    - Does the WL500g's syslog log via tcp or udp connections?

    thanks in adavance

seemed to be set up right

might happen, I forgot to activate the log source on the server...

    and it logs via udp.

but I've still the question which nvram flags influence the syslog behaviour.
