Exclamation Can't write files to WL-HDD

    Hi all,

I have set up a WL-HDD with 80GB to run as a TWONKY MP3 NAS.

I am using Olegs newest firmware and have started Samba and Mounting etc.

TWONKY is running and I can see the Folders on my WIN XP machine.

I can not, however, write a single file into th efolders or anywhere onto WL-HDD....

It should be possible to transfer files on XP Explorer to WL-HDD, right?

Or am I totally off here?

I would appreciate if someone can help me.

    Cheers,

    Marco

    BandiTT,

You can't use Twonky to gain access to your WL-HDD. Twonky runs as a server and you can get music/video/pictures from WL-HDD (streaming).
To read/write to your WL-HDD you can
    1. Use FTP
    2. Use Samba

Using FTP you connect using an FTP client (e.g. FileZilla) and then you can read/write/delete.

Using Samba. You must first install a custom firmware (Oleg's) and then you should be able to access the WL-HDD just like a "normal" HD. I have no experience with this, but there's enough info on this board.

    Hope this helps!
    Jeroen
