Idle and Demand implemented in PPPD ?

    Hi,

One simple question : in frimware WL500gx-1.9.2.7-6b for (obviously ;-) WL500gx, the PPPD thing is compiled with "idle n" and "demand" configuration options included ?

    Thanx,

    Bogdan

yes, but you've to manually specify DNS servers for this to work. Otherwise it would not connect.

    Thank you, Oleg.

I'll try that as soon as I get home.

    Time to report :

    1. "idle n" works as expected
    2. "demand" starts the pppd in "waiting" mode. But only requests (or pings) using directly the IP address or made to recently used URLs "wake" the link.

I supose I did not set-up corectly the DNS-servers. I used /tmp/resolv.conf for this task.

    What I did wrong ?

Use web interface for this task.

    Tried, but nothing (good) happened.

So, I use a workaround : I configured the client's network connections with my DNS servers and it's working ok.
