    usb-storage no longer automated

Wheni I first plugged a usb storage device into my wl500g, the required modules were loaded and the filesystem was mounted on /tmp/harddisk.

However it now does not. dmesg reports a device was accepted but not claimed by any active drivers. I have to manually insmod scsi_mod sd and usb-storage then do a mkdir /tmp/harddisk followed by mount /dev/scsi/blah /tmp/harddisk.

    Why is this?

did you disable the ftp server from the admin webpages ?

This would result in USB disk not getting mounted per default.

Oh, yes i did, i have no need for ftp! i had a quick look but couldn't find any scripts related to this stuff.

Wanted to check what was done when, so i can for example make it mount the drive because i am using it as an nfs export.
