"I got information from sales team that RT-N76U just change the name to RT-N66U ..."
    =================
    yes well... they always mentioned a special gaming router... and this looks just like a gaming router
    600MHz is good news, hopefully it will actually be clocked at 600MHz and not lower due to stability issues like the RT-N16.

    Update:

    I think i found it: http://www.broadcom.com/collateral/p...003-PB00-R.pdf or maybe not, this is a Network Processor and not a WLAN.

    It could be a Marvell 600Mhz cause Ralink fastest CPU is a RT3883 500Mhz, but lets wait to see it
    It's the SOC (system on chip) with central mips core.
    So what you get is what you see in the block diagram
    so it shows you, just as usual: some different busses and connectors, build in qos and tcam and even 2 VoIP channels.
    nothing wired or wireless yet

    That's a little weird from ASUS, RT-N76U => RT-N66U since they already announce it, but it could be. Since RT-N76U was Broadcom chip that means RT-N66U "has to be" Broadcom, i doubt its a real 600MHz cause they're chips are always underclocked so far, but 1GB RAM its really awesome

    Yes well... as far as you can clock it too 600MHz and it stays stable I'm ok with that
    1GB is going to be a difficult upgrade... since they probably use 2 memory chips, so...

    From Asus press release at CES 2011 (January 7, 2011):

    ==============
    The RT-N66U dual-band wireless router from ASUS brings to the fore a new generation of super-fast connectivity with up to 450Mbps per band simultaneously.

    This makes the RT-N66U the gamer’s choice, ...

    ...includes hardware NAT to alleviate overall system load by relieving the CPU of background netcode processing.

    indeed, if that's actually true, I'm impressed
    that means no swap needed

    I do wonder why they chose for a 600MHz cpu only. I mean, it's not by far as fast enough to save a file on the disk with 110MB/s

    Because that way they can sell a lot of routers instead of one model only

    I will wait for your bought, after i see the results with USB transfer rate i will decide I just don't want to expend 150-200€ on a router that only transfer more 2-3mb/s than my RT-N16, i don't need 5GHZ wireless so...

    Well in reality RT-N66U is just to "play with" because with that money i could buy other ATOM board and transform it in a wireless router

    Yes well... it won't be running oleg the first day I guess. lly and themir0n have started working on it for a few weeks now already tho

    true true, get an atom board of 50 euro, get an extra ethernet adapter to hook up to a switch and you're pretty much done.
    But, I doubt an atom is able to reach proper wireless speeds. I've an asus 1215n with an atom D525 (the crème de la crème of atoms pretty much) and the pci-e bus to my intel ultimate-n 6300agn card is just too slow, cpu reaches to the top and I'm only able to reach a fraction of the speed I could get with that wireless card
    On wired speeds it will be allright for sure but you'll always have the higher energy costs
