afaik, rt-n16's usb controller supports per-port power feature, but
wl500* don't.
Some USB hubs allow switching of individual ports. This allows USB devices to be totally powered off, and it can even be used to control power to non-USB devices. A web page provides more information and a small program which can switch USB power. It also lists 4 hubs which support this.
Is anyone using a hub which supports this feature? I'm wondering if any of those hubs are compatible with the WL-500W or if there are any other compatible hubs which support this feature.
I'm pretty sure that the WL-500W does not support this on its USB ports because the VT6212 doesn't seem to have registers or pins for this purpose, and I see no other components which could be switching USB power.
I compiled hub-ctrl for Oleg firmware. It requires libusb.
