Help! Can't restore firmware

Hi, I tried to upload the wl500g-1.7.5.6-1.trx to my router and on the next reboot, it didn't work. Power led's stable, but no radio signal and no DHCP, nor 192.168.1.1 web page access. I tried to use the firmware recovery tool from ASUS, but after detecting the router in pmon mode, it fails to upload the file. What can I do??? I'm deperate to get it working again. Thanks.

try the search first,

also why didn't you update 1.7.5.6-2 into it?
please disconnect your wan during bootup at first,
try hitting the reset button when the device is turned off
try hitting the reset button when the device is turned on
try hitting the INTERNAL reset button when the device is turned off/on

and does the wireless led go stable ?

You must have the netmask set to 255.255.255.0
if the netmask is set to something other, it fails after detecting pmon.
