problem with VPN

My Asus premium is connected to a DSL modem (routing bridged mode, fixed WAN IP).
I can aceess the internet smoothly.
On my laptop connected to Asus I have a client VPN and it is not possible set up a VPN connection, although the Firewall is disabled (for testing purpose).

I have a second DSL line (NAT mode, dynamic WAN IP) where the very same VPN connection is set up properly.

Any idea why this problem exists? Where could I check for log files? Thanks for any advice.

Does the Asus wl-500gP support VPN pass through? Anything I need to take into account?

I am using Oleg 1.9.2.7-7g. Is IPSec supported resp. has anybody a working IPSec VPN with Oleg? It is not working for me.
