    Access denied on saving files

I have a problem when saving / renaming files on the WL-HDD:

    - Create a little text file with the WinXP-Editor (notepad)
    - Save as \\Hd1\part1\RALF\xyz.txt
    - Close Editor
    - When I try to reopen the file with Editor I get the message "acces denied" (Zugriff verwehrt)

When I reboot the WL-HDD or logoff/login in WinXP I can edit the created file without problems.

I'm using WinXP/SP2 and using ASUS-Firmware 1.2.3.2 and this problem appears on many applications (saving downloads, ...)

I have the same problem, under 1.2.3.0. Haven't solved it though.

Is this a problem with the firmware 1.2.3.x or does the same problem appears with the 1.1.2.8?
I'm thinking off to downgrade to that release and try again.
    Has anyone experiences?

Thanks for this info: Did you solve the problem with the custom firmware?
I'm not an experienced unix-user and setting up the custom firmware seems to be not so easy....

I think I found a solution for file locking:
I format a disk with FAT32 on my PC and then put it into the WL-HDD.
The nerving file-locking problem seems to appear only on the linux filesystem.
Also I get more freespace when using FAT32.
