Have you tried using the 'passive' ftp mode?Originally Posted by Alexander
The problem I found today is that Asus blocks any kind of FTP tranfer... I have two remote servers where sometimes I have to upload files. Servers are not on local network....they are 200 miles away. Firewall is off, and WAN & LAN filter is off. Everything is OK with servers. When I try to upload over DSL (without Asus) it works perfectly, but when I go through Asus, the connection is established, but I cannot transfer a single byte to the remote server. I'm using the latest Oleg's firmware. Any ideas?

Another possibility is that you've firewall running on your PC, which blocks PMTU discovery messages. Try disabling it.
Firewall is disabled (on my PC and on Asus)...I have tried passive mode, but without any success.
the problem still exists. I'm running firmware version 1.9.2.7-10 and I'm not able to upload file via FTP protocol.
any ideas?

1.9.2.7-10 (2008-03-30)
IMPORTANT: This firmware no longer supports original WL-500g/b/bv2/WL-300g/WL-HDD units: hardware vendor no longer support BCM4702 CPU. Use 1.9.2.7-9 instead.
I've got a WL500g Premium.
I'm sorry for posting in the wrong forum. Was just so happy about finding a topic that fit my problem that I paid no attention to what forum it was in.
But nonetheless it didn't work with 1.9.2.7-9 either and the folks with WL500g seem to have the problem, too.
