Upgrade messed up my Busybox - Help plz

Hi, I did an ipkg upgrade today, among other packages the Busybox upgraded from 1.5.1-1 to 1.7.2-3. The result of that was problems with busybox-links.postinst it reports "syntax error" and the linking of the busybox commands fails. Anyone experienced this and what is the solution?

Appreciate a quick response, this is getting quite annoying

The busybox-links.postinst uses the command update_alternatives and this command reports "syntax error"
