    Game server lags...

    Hi,

I've problems running a dedicated game server (enemy territory).
Game begins to lag (unplayable) or crash when there are more than three clients (players) connected.

Is that to much to handle for the router or have I to define rules under bandwith management?

    My config:
1 game server on lan (wirered to router)
1 game client on wlan (wireless to router)
2 game clients on wan (internet to router)
... if one more client, the game lags or even crashes!

I've already tried 1.8.X.X fw (stock and cistomized)...

    edit:
    ok, i've found the answer...
My adsl upload limit is 128kbps, just enough for 3 players!
So, I just have to change my account

Any way, does some one knows if there is any kind of limits (*) supported by the router?

(*) like number max of clients connected and/or kbps max?

Well, you'r gonna need a very, very big internet connection before you're gonna reach the routers limits. It will be able to handle at least 10 Mbs. Search the forum, there have been reports that the router is able to reach 3 Mbyte/s throughput from WAN to LAN.

The number of clients isn't going to pose problems for you either. Your server will not be able to handle the amount of clients before your router does.
