and most important thing is to setup an darkstat database path (not to use /tmp/root folder). if you dont do this, after 5 minutes darkstat goes OFF...

i tryed much ways to setup darkstat from USB disk, but without succes because function ./darkstat --detach doesnt work on asus (on every other linux system it works perfectly)

how to fix it? ideas?

just imagine enormous disk usage,with milions of small files on a tiny 100mhz procesor.... bad thing is that squid is allmost 8 megabytes exe file... in whic part of ram can you put it? more bad...

is it possible to use zebra and ospfd from usb flash disc? just autoexec it after reboot?

well, how did i temporary solved this:

1. my asus have some problem and it automaticly restart itself in random order (without any rules when should it happen)
2. ofcourse i can manualy remove...

no, i want to use asus as router,but NOT to use default gw over WAN port (eth1)

just to use default gw over br0

i tryed to set nvram variables but, it won`t work because it set`s up ip of default gw but for wan interface.

1.OID is a number with dot`s. someting like 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.5

every oid is a mark for some SNMP...

well,my asus remembered in nvram old setings of shaper, and now anyone value which i set up in web interface,it wont work....

yes,i forgot to say that linksys is not like asus, it has 3 mac adresses, very similar one to another, diference is in last digit

every interface has unique mac, ethernet,wlan,and wan

1. setup asus in wds-ap mode
2. setup bridge in HYBRID mode
3. add mac adress of linksys unit
4. reboot

(note that all units wil be on a same subnet)

5. put alchemy firmware in linksys
6....

use wds mode, i use linksyses and AP 500g , with 4-5 wds connections and it works perfect....

and alchemy of course on linksyses, or if you want client mode , must use samdahi 2.00 on linksys...

but now, what can i do to reactivate unit?

500g with marwell chipset works fine, but problem is in asus 138g card, because it is less sensible, and you must have very good antenna to have performance on a picture below (2,7 Mb/s)
