    Hi,
I think you should set the wl-hdd AP to true. Also, it is not required for both devices to have the same SSID (so you can track to which AP (wl500g or wl-hdd) your clients actually attach to).

Search the forums for ltraf. It's small program that does only that, realtime bandwith monitor. Hopefully, if you are lucky :), you can also filter the bandwith with bpf filters.

If you can ping the PDA from the computers on your LAN, then the wireless connection is well established, and probably you don't need to touch any of the parameters in WiFi section on the wl500g. Try...

    Wireless lost

I've been using 1.9.2.7-1 and everything was fine. Obviously, I disobeyed the rule.."don't touch it if it works" and I upgraded to 1.9.2.7-3. And it happened that I couldn't ping wireless clients and...

Rob, I use the following syntax that gives me segmentation fault:
    ./ltraf -d "host 10.0.0.4" or
    ./ltraf -s "host 10.0.0.4"

Probably it's a pcap issue. How did you compile the programs?

Because you don't say how much you actually know, I'll be generous :) and detailed.

First you plug the USB stick (or disk) into the wl500g. It will automount.
    From command prompt type
    telnet...

This does the job, tnx Oleg. I got confused by the options line of ltraf:

I thought (-s bpf or -d bpf) is mandatory. What is this bpf anyway? Some sort of filter language perhaps? Is there some...

    scp yes - ssh no

Strange thing..it appears that scp is present in the firmware, but ssh lacks. So because scp cannot work without ssh, it is a waste of space to hold it, but it would also be nice if it worked too :).

Tnx for the x-mas present :)
Can you tell me how can I use the ltraf tool? It appears to require some bpf something. I need it to show me the realtime throughput. Tnx again.

    ftp server problem

Yes, I've noticed the same problem with ftp on 1.9.2.7 CR1. I get the directory and file listing, but when I try to download the file, I get the file, but the resulting downloaded size is 0kb. The...

    Traffic Statistics

    Hi,
I want to know if there is a chance of implementing some kind of traffic monitor on the custom firmware so some statistics can be made. For example, how much data has been transmitted and...
