I've discoverd that enabling the option to log dropped packets actually causes ALL PACKETS TO BE DROPPED! It totally ignores firewall rules.

How did you reset the router? By pressing the rest button for 5 seconds?
Make sure you have enabled the right network connection. To me it sounds like you've disabled the wrong connection. :p
