Sure. Just go with the original way, and when it's finished, delete the two .bin files, the root_fs_mipsel file and the .trx file. then edit and comment out the resetmon check in...
Everyone can build itself.. The only fixup it really needs is to disable the resetmon check. BTW, there are no .ipk files to support printing or anything other, yet.
The kernel supports QoS, and Yes, there is a 'tc' package. So You can do everything You want ;)
I will add all the asus features (printing, etc) as packages to OpenWRT as well.
Okay, OpenWRT has booted on my wl-500g.. Almost 100% working, some minor changes will be needed.
