I 2nd that request!
I run the KFurge version. I may need to blow away my opt directory and start fresh. I'm having other little annoyances with it as well.
I tried what you suggested, and got this:
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/whiterussian/packages/libpthread_0.9.27-1_mipsel.ipk
Installing libpthread (0.9.27-1) to /opt/...
ipkg:...
Hello! I'm trying to get Twonky 4.4.4 to run on my router. Everything else seems fine except for the small problem of it won't start up, I keep getting this error:
./twonkymedia:...
I'm trying to get the ipkg version of Transmission working on my router using kfurge's latest & greatest custom firmware, but I can't get the damn daemon to fire up. It keeps saying:

99.9% of the time, no. There is always that .1% chance that something will go ker-plooie though. If you're the paranoid type, backup your goods. :)
Anyone had any luck installing and using the optware version of mt-daapd? I installed it, configured it, ran it, iTunes sees it, I see a lot of network activity as it connects and grabs the...
Yes, it would. but the good news is, that seems to have done the trick, it just went to sleep. :)
I seem to recall the same command in the old rc.local :) I'll give it a whirl and see what it does later tonight when I've stopped playing music off of it. :)
Nope, that ain't it either.. both are mounted correctly. I'm gonna try something silly like disabling my wireless.. Just had a silly thought.. And I'm not using it right now anyways.
I thought NAS was another form of network disc access... fat lot of good that does though, I can't get anything to connect to it :P Samba works with everything, so far.
It is the original...
if I disable anything else the poor thing will stop working! :) I'll see what else I can kill, but it's running just enough to do what it needs to do, nothing special.
Edit: Here's what I've got...
time to nit-pick. :) Something keeps accessing the hard drive, so the drive won't power down. MLDonkey is disabled, and so is the media server.. Not much is running on it except what it needs to do...
Mine did something similar. When I flashed it using the web interface, it went through the motions, then said it was going to reboot, but it didn't. So I just let it sit there and spin it's wheels,...
Was mt-dappd updated, or is that still on the to-do list?
Yeah sorry about that, I did notice after I posted that you did put instructions up.. It was late :)
I looked, kcsh isn't there.. But based on your next response, it may not have written the...
So, umm, dumb question.. What's the login & pw for the telnet? :) I tried my router's login & pw for the web interface but it didn't work.
nvm, figured it out.. ok, next dumb question.. does the...
I thought the same thing, but it was worth the ask. :)
Ok stupid question, does MLDonkey support BT encryption? i ask cuz I'm a comcast user, and we all know how they love un-encrypted BT traffic. :P
Looks awesome, can't wait! I've been running stock 1.0.4.6 for too long!
Amen brother :) It's not because Windows or any MS OS is better than any UNIX-based OS, it was essentially shoved down the consumer's throats back in the early 80's with MS-DOS, thanks to a very...
Well good luck getting Windows 98 to handle your internet traffic for you.
I don't understand why people would want a router running any form of Windows on it. Do you realize how much overhead...
You'd be surprised.. they probably just updated the mt-daapd server to a more recent build.. If so then it should work pretty well, and is a very handy thing to have if you're storing all your music...
It needs to be recompiled for the router's hardware. It's probably compiled to be run on Intel/AMD based system. The router uses a totally different architecture.
Turn off the media server and other things you aren't using in the router's configuration. Mostly I've found the media server seems to access the hard drive on a constant basis, which would keep it...
