now I have a new Laptop ... my olf HP/Compaq nx8220 was stolen ... I have to think about a new one ... two week of searching, comparing and at the end buying a ASUS F3JP-AS017M ...

Standard installation with DVD and standard repos updates works well ... some problems
- graphics card x1700 in first try no 3D only vesa with frambuffers
- no special keys
- problems with acpi
- no cpu throttle, no lcd dim,
- hda sound not working correct ... trying some kernel parameters
Now I try to get update of kernel to 2.6.21 ...
Please give me some time to work ... next news next week ...
