Issues with ASUS WL500GP router after failed firmware update

Hi All,

I attempted a stock standard firmware update on my WL500gp and it failed half way through for unknown reasons.

Since then the router is doing very strange things. When you first power it on the pwr led is off and the air led is very dim. Plugging in devices to the LAN ports however gets the assumed responce of strong flickering lights.

The router will be unusable (No PWR LED, Dim AIR LED, No DHCP, No Wireless) for anything up to an hour then it begins (very slowly) to come online.

First the AIR light fully illuminates, then within half hour later the PWR light will come on then roughly half hour later again it begins to work.

If you attempt to reset the default settings nothing happens, if you hold the reset button in for the hour it takes the PWR LED to come on it will start blinking however recovery mode never works using the ASUS tool provided.

This driving me nuts, mainly due to the amount of time I have to wait to get to the point where I can test/make changes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
